{"id":280,"date":"2010-01-09T03:46:04","date_gmt":"2010-01-09T01:46:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.biketravel.net\/?p=280"},"modified":"2011-12-29T14:50:11","modified_gmt":"2011-12-29T13:50:11","slug":"coyhaique-villa-cerro-castillo-puerto-tranquilo-cochrane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.biketravel.net\/de\/santiago-to-ushuaia-by-bike\/coyhaique-villa-cerro-castillo-puerto-tranquilo-cochrane\/","title":{"rendered":"Coyhaique-Villa Cerro Castillo-Puerto Tranquilo-Cochrane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nach etwas mehr als nun total 1&#8217;250km bin ich heute Freitag Abend in Cochrane angekommen. Und schon mal vorweg: Auf dem ganzen Weg von Coyhaique und auch hier in Cochrane gab und gibt es keine Mobilfunk-Abdeckung. Ich kann im Moment also weder sms lesen noch beantworten. Und ich bin nich so optimistisch, dass sich dies bald aendert, da die Ortschaften immer kleiner werden. Zudem ist auch die Internetanbindung (Satellit) hier sehr langsam. Deswegen gibt es leider bis auf weiteres nur Bleiwueste und keine Bilder. Ebenfalls kann ich im Moment die Karte rechts nicht aktuallisieren :-(.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coyhaique-Villa Cerro Castillo<\/strong><br \/>\nAm letzten Sonntag bzw. Montag ging es von Coyhaique via Laguna Chiquay nach Cerro Castillo. Ich hatte ziemlich Glueck mit dem Wetter aber durfte doch schon mal den patagonischen Wind etwas kennenlernen. Wenn zum Glueck auch meist von hinten aber zum Teil auch von der Seite und von vorne. Und die Boeen waren zum Teil schon so stark, dass ich kurz anhalten musste, da ich ansonsten die Strasse verlassen haette&#8230;<br \/>\nDie Landschaft auf dieser Teilstrecke ist ausgesprochen schoen und mit 1&#8217;120m bei der Portezuelo Iba\u00f1ez war auch die hoechste Stelle der ganzen Carretera Austral zu bezwingen. Dieses Teilstueck ist aber komplett asphaltiert und deshalb recht angenehm zu fahren. Ich fuhr zwar alleine los, traf unterwegs aber wieder Sonia &amp; Carlos, Diego und Ernani, einen weiteren Italiener.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Villa Cerro Castillo &#8211; Puerto Tranquillo<\/strong><br \/>\nSonia &amp; Carlos hatten sich entschieden via Chile Chico zu fahren und waren deshalb auf dieser Teilstrecke nicht dabei. Wir anderen starteten zwar alle in Cerro Castillo, aber nicht zusammen, da eben jeweils nicht alle gleichzeitig bereit sind.<br \/>\nAb Villa Cerro Castillo ist die Strecke nicht mehr asphaltiert, sondern wieder eine Schotterpiste und dies mit ziemlich vielen Schlagloechern und Wellblech. Zudem hatte es am Dienstag ziemlich massiven Wind, meist in der Form von Gegenwind. Dies machte die Strecke extrem anstrengend zum Fahren. Zum Teil war der Wind so stark, dass ich absteigen und das Velo schieben musste&#8230; Wenigstens war es einigermassen trocken. Unterwegs traf ich dann wieder Diego und wir zelteten neben dem Haus einer Bauersfamilie in der Naehe der Portezuelo Rio Cachon Cofre an einem Fluss. Unterkuenfte gibt es in dieser Region keine.<br \/>\nDiego hatte wieder Knieprobleme (habe ich glaube schon mal geschrieben) und er nahm deshalb von dort am naechsten Tag einen PickUp, sprich er machte Autostop. Dies klappt hier ziemlich gut, da sehr viele (auch Touristen) mit PickUps unterwegs sind. Da wir den anderen Italiener, Ernani, schon am Tag zuvor verloren hatten, fuhr ich also alleine weiter. Der Wind war mehrheitlich auf meiner Seite und unterstuetzte mit Rueckenwind.<br \/>\nAuf dem letzten Teilstueck nach Puerto Tranquilo ging es dann noch nochmals ziemlich rauf unter runter (wie eigentlich fast immer hier), was meine ermuedeten Beine forderte. Zudem kam mir noch eine Strassenbaumaschine entgegen und ich freute mich bereits, dass die von Schlagloecher uebersaete Piste etwas besser wird. Dies war aber ein massiver Irrtum. Die Schlagloecher waren zwar nicht mehr zu sehen. Nun hatten meine Raeder in der mehligen Masse aber praktisch keinen Halt mehr und brachen staendig seitwaerts aus. Und in den Steigungen war es so rutschig, dass ich schieben musste&#8230; So kann man sich taueschen. Ziemlich erschoepft erreicht ich nach etwas mehr als 72km Puerto Tranquillo und machte es mir in einem Hospedaje gemuetlich.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Puerto Tranquilo &#8211; Puerto Bertrand &#8211; Cochrane<\/strong><br \/>\nAm Donnerstag ging es dann von Puerto Tranquilo weiter dem Lago General Carrera entlang nach Puerto Bertrand. Die Strecke ist landschaftlich wiederum sehr schoen und ich hatte auch Glueck mit dem Wetter. Die Piste geht aber staendig rauf und runter (und dies nicht wenig) und ich hatte an diesem Tag Ruecken- Seiten und Gegenwind, wobei der Rueckenwind wohl ueberwog. Die Piste war ausgesprochen trocken und ich wurde immer wieder mal mit Staub und Steinen von vorbeifahrenden Fahrzeugen eingedeckt. Dazu aber mehr ein andermal. Nach etwas mehr als 68km erreichte ich den kleinen Ort Puerto Betrand und freute mich sehr, dort wieder mal einen anderen Velofahrer anzutreffen: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelblog.org\/Bloggers\/Hein\/\">Hein aus Holland<\/a>. Er startete in Villa O&#8217;Higgins und faehrt nach Norden. Von Sonia &amp; Carlos, die ebenfalls durch Puerto Bertrand muessen, habe ich nichts gesehen oder gehoert. Keine Ahnung, ob sie vor oder hinter mir fahren.<br \/>\nHeute Freitag ging es dann von Puerto Betrand weiter nach Cochrane. Eine landschaftlich wiederum ueberwaeltigende Strecke und ich musste unzaehlige Fotohalte einlegen :-). Sie ist aber auch ziemlich anspruchsvoll zum Fahren, da es ziemlich massive Steigungen auf der Strecke hat. Ich merke in der Zwischenzeit ziemlich gut das Training der letzten Wochen. Waere ich Anfangs Dezember vor solchen Steigungen gestanden, dann haette ich wohl schlicht resigniert. In der Zwischenzeit kann ich sie meist fahren, auch wenn es immer mal wieder Pausen braucht. Anstrengend ist es aber noch immer.<\/p>\n<p>Nun bin ich also in Cochrane. Bis zum Ende der Carretere Austral in Villa O&#8217;Higgings sind es noch gut 230km. Morgen Samstag lege ich noch einen Ruhetag ein, da ich nun doch sechs Tage am Stueck gefahren bin. Am Sonntag geht es dann aber weiter Richtung Sueden.<\/p>\n<p>Ich werde unterwegs immer wieder gefragt, wohin ich denn fahre. Meine Antwort ist dann jeweils: Ushuaia. Ich weiss noch nicht, wie ich nach Ushuaia komme bzw. wieviel ich von dieser Strecke wirklich mit dem Velo zuruecklege. Mein Ziel war und ist es aber mindestens die Carretera Austral, also bis Villa O&#8217;Higgings ohne fremde Hilfe wie PickUps (abgesehen von den zwingend noetigen Faehren natuerlich) per Muskelkraft zurueck zu legen. Und es sieht im Moment gut aus, dass ich dieses Ziel erreiche. Mein Velo laeuft wieder sehr zuverlaessig und ich fuehle mich auch fit, wenn auch etwas muede im Moment :-).<br \/>\nVon Villa O&#8217;Higgings geht es dann sehr wahrscheinlich weiter nach El Chalten. Dies scheint ein ziemliches Abenteuer zu sein, aber das macht die Reise ja erst richtig interessant ;-).
