I shouldnt complain too much because the first two or three weeks in Chile I was really lucky and it was more or less sunny the whole time. However, since I left Puerto Montt this has changed. First we had two days of storm and heavy rain. After this there was one day which was more or less okay and let me move to Villa Santa Lucia. However, after this rain started again and forced me to stay in Santa Lucia for two days where I spend not so fabulous Christmas. It didnt really get better on Saturday but I anyway drove to the place Junta, which was around 73km away.
I stayed there for another day because it just didnt get better. And the good thing out of that, I met some other cyclists which are on the way to Ushuaia too :-). See on the right for their website (Sonia & Carlos). And the bad thing is, I lost 2 out of 4 screws on my smallest chain wheel or how ever you call it. Have to get 2 new ones as soon as possible and not loose one of those in the mean time. Otherwise I have to get a truck because cycling without those wont be really possible because its very hilly here.
On Monday I will move on.
All the best from Junta,
Stefan
Salut Steff
