It was actually the plan to take the ferry today from Quellon to Chaiten. However, this is not going to happen. Major stomach issue force me to change plans again. I will stay in Quellon till my stomach is stable again and will then go by bus back to Puerto Montt to take the ferry from there to Chaiten. I hope this is going to happen on Monday.
Natasha Young wrote in here blog that Puerto Montt is one of the worst places to be. However, Quellon is not really better. With an unemployment rate of around 70% last year, the place had much better times before. One of the main reasons for that seems to be problems in the Salmon industrie. But more about that later on.
