[singlepic id=193 w=320 h=240 float=left]This Monday morning, I went to the Isla Magdalena which is home of several 10’000 Magellan Penguines. For this I had to already be at the travel agency in Punta Arenas at 6.50 in the morning. From there we drove to the boat which brought us within 30 minutes through a kind of rough sea to the island.
For around 60 minutes we had the chance to walk between Penguines which was really great. Much better than the Pinguineria in Ancud. Afterwards we moved on to nearby island to see Sea Lions. However, we had to stay on board for this one. Because I was almost frozen by the cold wind and a bit seasick in the meantime, I was kind of happy when we moved back ashore shortly before lunch time 🙂 .
I’m planning on taking the ferry to Tierra del Fuego on Tuesday and to move on from there to my next and from a biking perspecting last destination on this trip: Ushuaia. Depending on the path I’m taking it will be either around 400 or 600km. I’m planning on taking the longer one but it’s also depending on wind and weather.
So you will hear from me again latest in Ushuaia.
Have a good time!
